From Seoul, Korea, artist Sonyo is currently studying at Musashino Art University has always been fascinated by Japanese arts.

 

Bright vivid colors transcend throughout her work, encapsulating the essence of Japanese pop culture and vigor for life.

 

Sonyo uses an aggressive and active pink more than any other colour, rather than a cute pink that suits the tastes of the world. By using such a unique poppy colour Sonyo creates and challenges the ideas of social issues, gender and one's identity.

 

Sonyo took part in ‘LUCKY CHARM’ a Group Exhibition of 28 International Artists. Presented by Lisa Boudet in association with Moosey Art. Opening the 4th of November 2021 at Hoxton Arches in London, United Kingdom.
